Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Jaguars Digital Pty Ltd ABN 25 322 770 659 ("Jaguars Digital", "we", "us", "our") operates the website jaguarsdigital.com.au and any associated online services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our Services. By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, and service address provided via enquiry or booking forms.
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referral source, and device identifiers collected automatically when you visit our website.
- Transaction data: order details, payment method type (we do not store full card numbers), and delivery information for online shop purchases.
- Communications: messages, photos, or other content you send us directly.
- Our email list: the email address you give the subscribe form, the page you gave it on, and when you confirmed. We only email addresses that have confirmed, and every email has a link to stop.
We collect information only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide our Services and comply with applicable law. You are not required to provide personal information; however, declining to do so may limit our ability to respond to your enquiry or fulfil your order.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Respond to enquiries, provide quotes, and schedule appointments;
- Process and fulfil online orders and send order confirmations;
- Send service-related communications including job updates and invoices;
- Send marketing communications where you have opted in or where permitted by law. You may opt out at any time;
- Improve our website and Services through analytics;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We will not use your information for purposes materially different from those described above without your consent or as required by law.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose your information to:
- Service providers: third-party vendors who assist us in operating our website and delivering services (e.g. payment processors, email platforms, CRM tools), bound by confidentiality obligations;
- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, and insurers, as reasonably necessary;
- Authorities: where required or authorised by law, including in response to a court order or regulatory request.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services & Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or embed third-party features (e.g. Google Maps, payment gateways). We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
5. Cookies
We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or any other third-party tracking script. When
you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, or from another website, we set one first-party
cookie, jd_src, for 90 days. It holds the ad click identifier or campaign tags
in the link, the name of the site that sent you, the page you landed on and the time, and
nothing about you. If you later run a website check, talk to our receptionist demo or ask to
be rung, that record is stored with it, so we know which ad or link brought an enquiry and
can tell an ad platform that one of its clicks became an enquiry. You can block or delete
it in your browser settings and every part of the site still works.
We set a second first-party cookie, jd_v, for two days. It is a random number
and nothing else — no name, no address, nothing about you or your browsing. Our AI
receptionist is free to try and runs on a daily allowance, and this is how we count that
allowance per visitor rather than per internet address, so that everyone sharing a mobile
network or an office connection is not turned away because someone else has already had a
go. Block or delete it and the line still answers; you simply share the allowance with
everyone else on your network.
6. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and disclaim liability for any unauthorised access or breach beyond our reasonable control.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
7a. The AI receptionist
Where we run an AI receptionist for a business — on our own site as a demonstration, on that business's website, or on its own call page — a caller's words are turned into text so the line can answer, and are not recorded and not stored by us. We keep a row of counts and timestamps for each call with no name attached to it. What the caller asked for is sent once to the business, which is the purpose of the call, and that business is responsible for it from then on.
A caller to a clinic's line may give health information, which is sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It is collected on the clinic's behalf, with notice given on the page before the call begins, passed to the clinic, and not retained by us in any form: a clinic's line does not even store the type of appointment. The full detail is at What happens to what a caller says.
8. Your Rights (Australian Privacy Law)
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We reserve the right to decline access where permitted by the Privacy Act.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that does not comply with the Privacy Act 1988, you may lodge a complaint with us at the contact details below. We will investigate and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of our Services after any such update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
