Questions we get asked every week
Do I need a referral?
No, you can book directly. If you have a GP Care Plan for diabetes or another chronic condition, bring it, since it affects your Medicare rebate.
Do you accept Medicare or private health rebates?
Eligible chronic disease management plans get a Medicare rebate, and most private health extras cover podiatry. We can process the claim on the spot with HICAPS.
How often should I have a diabetic foot check?
Most GPs recommend an annual check for people with diabetes, more often if you have reduced circulation or feeling in your feet. Your GP or our podiatrist will tell you what suits your situation.
How long do custom orthotics take?
We cast your feet at the first visit and the finished pair is usually ready in two to three weeks, with a fitting appointment to check them.
Do you treat children's and sports injuries?
Yes, both. Bring the shoes you train or play in, since we usually check them as part of the assessment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give us 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged at the full visit rate.
